Mr. Badri Sultania

With a vision to establish a strong foothold in the agro-commodity industry, Badri Nath Sultania started his journey in 1986 with the trading of ghee, oil, and food grains, laying the foundation of Balaji Enterprises in Old Delhi. Under his leadership, the company registered its first trademark, Godawari, in 1994 and expanded into rice manufacturing by 1998.

Recognizing the growing global demand for premium basmati rice, he led the company into exports in 2012, focusing on 1121 Basmati Rice. Over the years, Balaji Enterprises has grown into a trusted name in both domestic and international markets, launching Diat Basmati Rice in 2018.

Carrying forward the legacy of Balaji Enterprises, Krishan Sultania is leading the company into new horizons of growth and innovation. With a strong foundation in agro commodities and post-harvest processing, he has been instrumental in expanding the brand’s presence in both B2B and B2C markets. Under his leadership, Diat Basmati Rice has gained a strong foothold in the FMCG sector, growing into a trusted name in the domestic and export markets. He has successfully driven grocery private label partnerships, ensuring the brand’s presence in modern retail and e-commerce platforms.

In addition to Diat Basmati Rice, he has expanded the company’s portfolio with brands like Madhaq Al Hind, Diat Gud Karbs, and Godawari, strengthening the company’s market position. He secured co-packing partnerships with brands like Blinkit in 2021, further extending the reach of Balaji Enterprises’ products.

With a government-recognized export house status in 2022 and an increased production capacity of 40,000 tons by 2024, his unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and market expansion continues to drive the company’s success in both local and international markets.
